In Case You Were Wondering

here. there. everywhere.

  • Up Too Late, Up Too Early

So lately, I have been sleeping like garbage.  I don’t know why.  When I used to have sleeping problems, I at least knew why.  Stress used to be a big thing.  When I was working third shift at the casino, taking 19 credits, and the president of Alpha Sigma Phi I used to be stressed out beyond belief.  A good night’s sleep was nowhere to be found.

Now, I have the opposite problem.  I’m quite happy with a beautiful lil fiance, I’m getting real good grades in a field I’m happy with, and have little to be stressed about.  Well, there is one thing.  I don’t have a job.  I have officially applied for over 20 jobs since Thanksgiving.  I have only heard back from one of them and I didn’t get the job.  It was to be a police dispatcher in Ferndale.  I’m kind of glad that I didn’t get the job so I didn’t have to drive an hour to work in a crappy neighborhood.  I am also mad because I recently found out that I could have been collecting unemployment the entire time, which I was under the impression that I could not because I have a “seasonal” job.  So I filed my claim for that and am waiting to hear about that.  I really just need something to get me through to April, when I can start at the Stripeshow again.

In other news, the Discovery Channel has really been bringing it home for the pastcouple weeks.  They have been airing day-long marathons of their “best” shows.  This means I have been able to watch Deadliest Catch, Dirty Jobs, and Planet Earth like its my job (which it may as well be).

Other than that, I have been helping my grandma get her things together and packed for her move into her new apartment.  She is moving HERE.  It is a really nice assisted living complex in Howell.  Its actually just a couple minutes away from where she lives now.  She and my grandpa paid cash for and moved into a newly built condo in Howell about five years ago.  My grandpa passed away about three years ago so my grandma has been living there by herself and its just becoming too much for her to handle.  When all is said and done, there is a chance that I will be able to live there for next to nothing, since my dad and uncle will be the “landlords.”  This is extra good since I and my soon to be wife will be needing a place to live.  This place has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a nice big kitchen, dining area, decent sized living room, washer and dryer, garage, and there’s a community club house with a pool and fitness area.  I would be more than excited to live here.  The place is spotless and in perfect condition, right in the middle of all the action at Latson and Grand River.

Well, I think that pretty much covers it for now, considering its 6:40am and I need to try and get some more sleep.

    Have a nice day.
