So I decided to move my Wordpress writings here because I wasn’t writing too much at Wordpress.  I wanted somewhere to write more journal-ish things and get away from the blog-ish stuff.  

Holiday Update: 

So far, semester break has been going really well.  I got a 3.4 last semester.  I am real happy with that even though I was shooting for a 3.5 or better.  Christmas Eve was real nice, as always.  My dad’s side of the family (since my mom doesn’t have any family) was over to our house for Christmas Eve dinner.  Amelia, you know, my fiance, was also over again for the third year.  We had a traditional meatless dinner of fish, perogi, and veggies.  As far as gifts go, from my family I got some money that went towards my iPod Touch and a TGI Friday’s gift card from my brother.  From Amelia, I got a really nice new Fossil watch and my wedding band (that I am wearing on my right hand until the wedding).  Amelia’s parents got me a very nice Fossil passport wallet and some money to put towards getting my passport.  This is a very practical gift considering we’re (Amelia’s family + significant others) going on vacation hopefully to the Bahamas next Christmas.  Also, Amelia and I have been given a honeymoon trip to pretty much anywhere in the world, so I would need it for that too.  A little early, I know, but it is still a very nice and generous gift that I’m way thankful for!  

As far as gift giving, My mom, dad, brother, and I got my dad a GPS thing.  I got my mom this organizing thing for her car, and I got my brother a nice bottle of wine.  I got Amelia a webcam so we can “video conference” while she’s at school and I get Amelia’s parents a couple books from Barnes and Noble.  

Amelia and I are spending SO much time together this break and I am loving it!  The only bad part is we’re spoiling the crap out of each other and its really going to suck when she goes back to Mount Pleasant.  

Yesterday I got to hang out with Jeff and Kelley met up with us.  It was a fun time.  Jeff left today for his class trip to South Africa, so I was glad I get to see him some.  

My grandma is getting ready to move to an assisted living apartment complex in Howell.  Its a relatively new complex and its really nice.  While in the process of moving, my grandma is giving me all kinds of “home” stuff for me to take to where ever Amelia and I move when we’re married.  I’ve gotten some real nice stuff so far!  We may even have a deal worked out to where Amelia and I can live in my grandma’s current condo after she moves for next to nothing!  That would be really awesome!
